Vehicle Gap Data

Vehicle Gap Data delivers a report that quantifies the number of gaps (in seconds) that exists between vehicles in the major traffic stream at a specific reference point. Also known as a Traffic Gap Analysis, Vehicle Gap Data is used to determine the number of opportunities for a vehicle to execute a turning movement (gap) from a two-way stop-controlled intersection during a defined time period. Gaps can be measured for each direction, by lane & combined for entire roadway. Gaps are reported into 15 bins according to ITE designated gap scheme.
